Customer Review :
Might have worked : Flex-a-lite 5719 Steel Star Aluminum 19.25" O.E. Replacement Fan
The craftsmanship of the blade was great. The fan ended up not working for our application. It is nice to know you can still get after market parts when the OEM makes them obsolete. The part would have worked if it were in a normal application. The Jeep were installing it in was modified from OEM. It had a 3" body lift and we changed out the 4 cylinder for a straight 6. We had to weld in motor mounts and the exact placement was not anything near stock. Therefore there was not enough room for the fan shroud. We ended up installing an electric fan instead.
If you ever decide to replace the 4 cyl. with a 6 cyl. in a YJ, make sure there are motor mounts to begin with. It was a nightmare. It is running, but it is more like a frankenstein Jeep.
